Job Description
A leading accounting and professional services firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will prepare financial statements, manage accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, maintain general ledgers, prepare VAT returns, assist with budgeting and forecasting, ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations, support month-end and year-end closing activities, and provide financial reporting to management while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
Minimum 2 years of accounting or finance experience.
Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles, VAT, and taxation.
Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
Eligible to meet United Kingdom employment and work visa requirements.
