Job Description
A leading Australian retail and supermarket company is seeking reliable and customer-focused Cashiers to join its store operations team. The successful candidates will operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, process customer purchases, handle cash and electronic payments, issue receipts, assist with customer enquiries, balance cash registers, replenish checkout supplies, maintain a clean checkout area, and provide excellent customer service while complying with company policies and Australian retail standards.
Requirements
High School Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred.
Previous experience as a Cashier, Retail Assistant, or Customer Service Representative is an advantage but not essential.
Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Good numerical ability and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Eligible to meet Australian employment and visa requirements.
