CASHIER

A well-established supermarket chain in New Zealand is seeking friendly and customer-oriented Cashiers to join its retail team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, processing cash and electronic payments, assisting customers with purchases, handling refunds and exchanges, maintaining accurate cash balances, promoting store loyalty programs, and ensuring the checkout area remains clean and organized. Candidates will play a key role in delivering an outstanding shopping experience while following company policies and customer service standards.

Secondary school qualification preferred.
Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling.
Good communication skills in English.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment.
Basic mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Reliable, honest, and well-presented.
Eligible to meet New Zealand employment requirements.
