Job Description
A leading electrical engineering company in New Zealand is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians to support industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidates will install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, control panels, motors, switchboards, and electrical equipment. Responsibilities include reading technical drawings, conducting preventive maintenance, diagnosing electrical faults, testing electrical installations, ensuring compliance with New Zealand electrical standards, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements
ITI, Diploma, or Trade Qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology.
Previous experience as an Electrical Technician is preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical wiring, control systems, motors, and switchgear.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals.
Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety regulations.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills in English.
Willingness to work overtime, on-call shifts, and travel to project sites if required.
Eligible to meet New Zealand employment and visa requirements.
