HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT

A leading New Zealand healthcare provider is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to provide quality support to patients and residents in hospitals and aged care facilities. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, mobility support, meal assistance, maintaining patient records, supporting nursing staff, following infection control procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and wellbeing.

New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent qualification is preferred.
Previous healthcare or aged care experience is advantageous.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
Understanding of infection prevention and health & safety practices.
Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
Physically fit for manual patient handling.
Willingness to work rotating shifts and weekends.
First Aid certification is an advantage.
Eligible to meet New Zealand employment and work visa requirements.
