Job Description
A leading Australian engineering company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering and maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment used in mining, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings and technical documentation, conducting equipment inspections, analysing mechanical performance, coordinating with project teams, ensuring compliance with Australian engineering standards, managing maintenance schedules, troubleshooting equipment issues, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, mining, or industrial projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or similar CAD software.
Knowledge of Australian Standards (AS), WHS regulations, and engineering best practices.
Experience with preventive maintenance, equipment diagnostics, and root cause analysis.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Membership or eligibility with Engineers Australia is an advantage.
Eligible to meet Australian employment and work visa requirements.
