MECHANICAL ENGINEER

A leading UK engineering company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join its engineering team. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, install, and maintain mechanical systems and industrial equipment across manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, and heavy engineering projects. Responsibilities include preparing engineering drawings, performing technical calculations, conducting equipment inspections, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with UK engineering standards, managing preventive maintenance programmes, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, construction, or mechanical engineering projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or other CAD software.
Knowledge of British Standards (BS), HSE regulations, and engineering best practices.
Experience with mechanical design, maintenance planning, and equipment commissioning.
Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Membership or eligibility with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is an advantage.
Eligible to meet United Kingdom employment and work visa requirements.
