Job Description
A well-established horticulture and produce company in New Zealand is seeking reliable Picker and Packers to join its harvesting and packing operations. The successful candidates will pick fresh fruits and vegetables, inspect produce for quality, sort and grade products, pack items into cartons, label shipments, prepare pallets for distribution, maintain clean workstations, and follow workplace health, safety, and food hygiene standards. Candidates should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced agricultural environment while maintaining high-quality production standards.
Requirements
No formal qualification is required.
Previous experience in fruit picking, packing, agriculture, or warehouse operations is an advantage but not essential.
Physically fit and capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 kg.
Ability to work in orchards, packing houses, or cool storage facilities.
Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Basic English communication skills.
Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime during harvest periods.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
Knowledge of workplace health, safety, and food hygiene practices is beneficial.
Eligible to meet New Zealand employment and visa requirements.
